Huntsville Parks & Recreation Event Registration

This free event is open to the first 50 children, ages 6-12, to register. Children will enjoy a fun evening of games and an age-appropriate holiday movie, while parents enjoy dinner or take care of last-minute holiday shopping.

The children will be supervised by professional recreation staff. At least one parent or guardian should live within the City of Huntsville to participate. A separate registration form must be filled out for each participating child.

Only individuals listed below will be allowed to sign-in or pick-up the participant. Photo ID is required for all authorized individuals. Participants cannot sign themselves out.

Photo Agreement: During program events and activities, photographs and/or video may be taken.

By checking "yes" below, you authorize the City of Huntsville, Alabama to publish and use your child’s name and/or your child’s likeness (“Likeness”) for the promotion, publicity, advertising, or other manner or media by the City of Huntsville (the “City”) Department of Parks and Recreation or any other representative authorized to act on behalf of the City. 

By checking "no," you revoke any authorization for photographs and/or video. 

Permission to Photograph my Child:

By signing and submitting this registration form, you acknowledge you are at least 18 or older, are authorized as a parent or guardian to bring the child(ren) to the event, have gone over the rules with your child(ren), and agree to the following:

Dropoff/Pickup Procedures: Participants may be dropped off no earlier than 15 minutes before the event and must be accompanied into the building by a parent or guardian to be signed in. Parents/guardians must also enter the building to sign out the child at the event's conclusion.

Late Pickup Policy: In the event of a late pickup, a parent/guardian should call the staff as soon as possible. Staff are not permitted to transport children home under any circumstances. If a parent/guardian is more than 30 minutes late and has not contacted the staff supervisor, police may be called to assist the participant.

Medication Policy: Emergency medication such as an inhaler, EpiPen or diabetic injections are permitted. These must be clearly labeled with the participant’s name and directions for administering the drug.

Staff will NOT collect medication, and Staff will NOT administer medication. Please make sure that any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations are communicated to Staff and listed on registration form prior to participation in program activity. All other medications should be administered at home.

Damages: In consideration of you accepting my child’s entry, I hereby, for myself, my child, my heirs, executors and administrators, waiver and release all rights and claims for damages I or my child may have against the City of Huntsville and its representatives, successors and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by myself or my child at any activity sponsored by the City of Huntsville Parks and Recreation Department.

Participation Rules:

  • Participants must respect staff and peers
  • No weapons allowed
  • No profanity, bullying or fighting (seek staff for assistance)
  • No vandalism of property
  • No running or shouting in hallways or during activity
  • No sagging pants, hats, or bandannas
  • Participants may not leave the facility unless accompanied by a parent or guardian listed on the authorization form
  • No bags allowed; electronic devices (smart watch and/or cellphone only) must be kept by participant.
